5 of the Best Weed Vaporizers

Best Weed Vaporizers

Weed aficionados have gone crazy about vaporizers these days.

Many people give up smoking in favor of vaping for plenty of reasons: health aspects, convenience, discretion, efficacy — you name it.

As with any booming segment of the cannabis industry, the vape market is flooded with new models almost every day. While this can be exciting, it can also be overwhelming for those just getting started with vaping.

Not to mention that the market is full of mediocre products that are often advertised as “the best weed vaporizer.”

Here at CheapWeed, we’re big fans of vaping and we’re always on the lookout for high-quality devices. In this article, we go over 5 of the best weed vaporizers in 2019. Each of the models we present below is a portable device — we will discuss tabletop units in a separate post.

1. Pax 3

The descendant of Pax 2, the Pax 3 vaporizer features plenty of internal changes while keeping the same size and adding only 3 grams to the overall weight.

Upon the release date, people were a bit disappointed because of the glossy casing that was susceptible to fingerprints, stains, and scratches, but Pax Labs quickly made up for this slip-up, releasing the matte version of its finish.

As for the internal changes, Pax 3 is now ready to use after 15-20 seconds of heating it up, compared to the 45 seconds in Pax 2. Once it gets hot enough to produce wondrous clouds of vapor, you’ll be noticed with a single vibration.

In addition, you get the dedicated Pax Vapor APP. The best thing about the app is that it gives you full control over the temperature spectrum (360 F – 420 F) with different heating profiles adjustable to your vaping preferences.

The vapor production is very decent and allows you to enjoy the full flavor profile of your herbs and concentrates. Pax 3 has a quite difficult learning curve if you want to get the most out of this device, but once you master all the options, you’ll be more than satisfied with your purchase.

On top of that, Pax 3 comes with a concentrate insert which works pretty well, too. It may not be enough to replace your dab rig or e-nail, but when it comes to hybrid vaporizers, nothing comes close to the latest release from Pax Labs.

2. Mighty

Mighty is the bigger brother of Crafty, the portable vaporizer from the vaping powerhouse Storz & Bickel. While it’s not the most compact unit on the planet, it surely has a number of advantages that make its size a low-priority issue.

First of all, Mighty has the best battery life of all vaporizers on the market per full charge. A fully loaded battery can last a full day of traveling to enjoy your weed outdoors. In addition, Mighty has an easy-to-read LED display and simple temperature control buttons, so you can use the full-spectrum temperature range (105F – 410F).

Mighty is one of the best weed for the dry material, especially if you don’t mind its size. It has a 5-star vapor quality production and is perfect for long sessions. Of course, you can keep the entire session for yourself if you’re brave enough, but it works best if you have time to sit down and enjoy 10-15 minutes of undisturbed inhalation.

The only downside of Mighty is the aforementioned overall size and weight. The unit will fit much better in a backpack, hoodie, or purse — but then again, the extra size is worth the exceptional performance.

3. Arizer Solo 2

The upgraded version of the Arizer Solo vaporizer, the Solo 2 model features three hours of average battery life, a broad temperature spectrum, and is one of the best portable weed vaporizers on the market these days.

The unit heats in as little as 20 seconds; it also has a clean display screen and temperature buttons that are both designer and functional. Arizer Solo 2 comes with a glass stem, which is a hate-it-or-love-it thing, to be honest. The flavor you get from the all-glass vapor path is phenomenal, but a glass stem is also dangerous to be in a pocket and a bit difficult to hide during biking or skiing. It all boils down to whether you’re a flavor chaser or a fan of functionality.

Nonetheless, if you prefer to vape indoors, the Solo2 unit will surely live up to your expectations. Not only does it kick out massive clouds, but it’s also one of the best weed vaporizers to enjoy in the company of your bud buddies.

Oh, and don’t forget the lifetime warranty on the heating element, a 2-year warranty against defects, and a 1-year warranty on the battery, all of which are included in your package.

Firefly 2 Weed vaporizer

4. Firefly 2

This inconspicuous “pure convection” portable vaporizer comes with 5 different temperature settings for dry herbs and one setting for concentrates. Firefly 2 also comes with two replaceable rechargeable batteries, pre-heats in less than 10 seconds, and requires minimum maintenance — it has all it takes to be considered one of the best weed vaporizers on the market. But the best part is that the device heats up on demand, allowing you to use it whenever and wherever you want without wasting your precious weed.

The powerful heater and fast heat-up time paired with dense and flavorful vapor creates one-of-a-kind experience that both novice consumers and weed veterans will enjoy.

On top of that, the Firefly 2 vaporizer is over 100 grams lighter, easier to conceal, and can ensure between 4 to 6 bowls per full battery. The only downside to Firefly 2 is the learning curve which requires some time to master and produce the best vapor.

5. DaVinci IQ

Last but not least, the Davinci IQ vaporizer is both one of the most portable and best-tasting conduction vaporizers we’ve tested at this point. No other vaporizer was able to produce such tasty vapor that holds the flavor throughout the entire session like DaVinci IQ. The unit comes with a 10-year warranty, ceramic zirconia vapor path and mouthpieces, and a very smart, user-friendly software.

The IQ vape offers a full temperature spectrum ranging from 250F to 430 F. You can either use the Precision Mode or choose one of the so-called “Smart Paths” that allow for much greater customization in terms of the vaping experience.

At this point, you might be wondering why on earth we place DaVinci IQ at the end of our list. Well, that’s because of the draw resistance during the inhalation and the time it takes to charge the battery from 0% to 100%. However, we believe that the taste of the vapor at higher temps and the size of clouds produced by this compact unit are enough to make up for these nuisances.
